Emergency care — if your condition is more serious or life-threatening, please call 999 or attend A&E. For urgent advice when we are closed, call NHS 111
The quickest way to request an urgent appointment is through our online consultation tool (Klinik):
If you cannot use online services, please telephone 0208 187 2000 or speak to our reception team in person. Your request will be assessed the same day by the duty clinician, who will decide whether you need advice by telephone or a face-to-face consultation.
For emergencies or life-threatening conditions, please call 999 or attend A&E. For urgent advice when we are closed, call NHS 111.
Our standard appointment times are:
Telephone consultations — 10 minutes
Face-to-face GP or Advanced Nurse Practitioner consultations — 15 minutes
Practice Pharmacist consultations — 15 minutes
If you require an interpreter, please tell us when booking your appointment (online or by phone). We will arrange a professional interpreter for you, at no cost, to help ensure your consultation is safe and effective.
We encourage patients to attend the surgery whenever possible, as we have the best facilities and equipment available here. However, we recognise that some patients may be too unwell or housebound.
Please request home visits through our online portal wherever possible, so that we can capture the right clinical details quickly.
If you cannot use online services, please call reception (ideally before 10:00 AM to help us plan visits).
A GP will review your request and decide whether a home visit is clinically necessary and how urgently it should take place.
Home visits are only provided when, in the opinion of a GP, your medical condition makes it inappropriate for you to attend the surgery.
You may also be visited at home by a community nurse or health visitor if this is more appropriate — for example, after having a baby or if you have a young child under five.
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. This allows us to offer the time to another patient.
You can cancel your appointment by:
Missed appointments are a significant problem for the practice. Between January and April 2025, 517 appointments were missed without notice — that’s around 129 every month . Each missed slot could have been used by another patient in need.
If you miss an appointment without letting us know, you will receive a text message afterwards to make you aware. If this happens repeatedly, we may contact you to discuss how we can support you to access care more effectively.
In very rare circumstances, and always in line with NHS regulations, repeated non-attendance without explanation may lead to consideration of removal from the practice list. We would always write to you before any such step was taken.
Please make every effort to arrive on time for your appointment. Arriving late impacts other patients and the running of the clinic.
If you are more than 10 minutes late, you may not be seen. This is to ensure that other patients are not delayed.
In some cases, the clinician may decide to see you if there is an urgent medical need. Otherwise, you will be asked to rebook, which may mean waiting until the next working day.
We appreciate your understanding in helping us run the service fairly and effectively for all patients.
Our practice automatically sends text message reminders to help you keep track of your appointments.
If you would prefer not to receive these messages, please let us know and we will record your choice.
It is important that we have your correct contact details. Please update us promptly if your mobile number, email address, or home address changes.
Please note: these reminders are for appointment information only and do not include clinical details.
We work with other local practices to offer evening and weekend appointments.
Appointments may be with a GP, nurse, advanced nurse practitioner, or healthcare assistant. It may not be a doctor from this practice, but usually local clinicians.
The clinician can view your medical record, but only if you agree.
Please note: Some conditions may be better managed with your usual GP to ensure continuity of care.
