GP Extended Hours
Weekend Appointments
Our practice is part of a new pilot programme to try and improve access to primary care at evenings and weekends.
Four local practices will be providing appointments on behalf of all GP surgeries in Tower Hamlets Saturday and Sunday during the pilot.
You will be given the appointment at :
The appointments could be with a doctor or a nurse and might be booked for you by your own GP practice or the GP Out of Hours Service if you need to call them when your practice is closed.
If you are our patient and given an appointment at one of the hubs and you need to cancel it please call the practice on 0208 187 2000 or if the practice is closed please call GP Out of Hours who can cancel the appointment for you on 020 7377 7151.
Please note that the hubs will operate a similar policy to our practice and if you are more than 10 minuste late for your appointment you may not be seen.
We are aiming for the appointments to mostly be provided by local GPs although it may not be staff from this practice when you visit.
The doctors will have access to your medical records, but only if you give your consent.
What this means is that you may find if you call the practice or out of hours you are offered an appointment at a practice other than the one you are registered at in the evenings or on Saturday or Sunday if that is more convenient for you.
This is an opportunity to try and help working people who may struggle with taking time out during the week for some routine appointments but we are being careful to consider where continuity of care is important and therefore there will be a limited number of conditions that we are able to book into these appointments.
This is a trial, it will be carefully monitored and if you do attend an appointment at one of these hubs you may be asked for your feedback so we can improve the service for the future.
